What is better than a margarita or a beer at 5pm on a Friday afternoon?
A Felons x Madre Mezcal Margarita Sour Ale that’s what. Combining two of everyone’s favourite drinks, margies and a schoobang this thing is exactly what your weekend wants to kick off with. Made by Brisbane’s favourite beer under the bridge, Felon’s Brewing Co. and mezcal masterminds Madre Mezcal, the limited release sour is called the Felons x Madre Mezcal Margarita Sour Ale. It tastes fruity and earthy, with a hint of a lime, but mostly beer. Sour beer that is. Felon’s first attempted to make a margarita beer last year, but found tequila to be a little overpowering, which makes sense because everytime I drink tequila it overpowers me. Mezcal though, a little smoky spirit, seemed to balance the sour out just the perfect amount. We think it’s amazing. In fact we’re sipping one right now.
